Billing Policy Usage Policy Charges
Domain Registration
This notice represents the CyTech Internet
Service’s Acceptable Use Policy. This notice supercedes any other written or oral
policy. CyTech Internet Service reserves the right to modify this policy, amplify the
policy as well as discontinue or change the services offered.
CyTech Internet Service may be used for lawful purposes only. Transmission of any material
in violation of any U.S. or state regulation is prohibited. You agree that CyTech Internet
Service will not be held responsible for any claims resulting from illegal use of the
service which damages you or another party.
CyTech Internet Service specifically denies any responsibility for the accuracy or quality
of information obtained through its network. CyTech Internet Service exercises no control
whatsoever over the content of the information residing on or passing through it. CyTech
Internet Service makes no warranties of any kind, whether expressed or implied, for the
service it is providing. CyTech Internet Service is not responsible for loss of data
resulting from delays, non-deliveries, incorrect deliveries, or service interruptions
caused by its own negligence or your errors or omissions. Use of other organization's
networks or computing resources must comply with the rules appropriate for that network.
CyTech Internet Service or other relevant authorities may determine inappropriate usage of
this account and the account may be revoked at CyTech Communication's discretion. You
agree to the following billing policy:
BILLING POLICY
All requests for cancellation of service must be placed in writing. The account holder should identify
his or her username, password, phone number and reason for cancellation in
the body of the letter requesting cancellation of service. This may be
done in the following ways:
1) Sent via e-mail to

You must receive confirmation back as proof of cancellation.
Please supply a return address.
We also provide a temporary "vacation" mode
if you wish to temporarily suspend your service without incurring
a reactivation fee. Contact Us for more info.
CyTech Internet Service subscribers who wish to make any changes
to their current account in the form of upgrades, downgrades,
address changes, billing method changes and all other general
billing changes may do so at any time. There are no additional
administrative charges for account modifications. All account
modification requests, however, must be in writing and sent
to us of via one of the three aforementioned ways.
CyTech Internet Service has a no refund policy in effect. All
requests for cancellation will be honored at the end of your
current billing cycle. The billing cycle begins the first day
of the month and ends the last day of the month. You will retain
full access to your account until your current billing cycle
ends. If you pay for more than three months at a time, you will
be refunded for all unused full months (NO partial month refunds)—you
must produce a receipt showing payment date and amount in order
to receive this refund. CyTech Internet Service reserves the
right to deactivate all delinquent accounts without prior notice.
All accounts that wish to reactivate may be subject to a reactivation
fee.
We often get customers who assume that if they don't use the
Internet service for some reason (moved out of area or went
on vacation) and fail to inform us, we shouldn't charge
them. This is not the case. We do NOT keep track of individual
usage and have no way of knowing if you want to cancel unless
you notify us in writing in advance. If you continued to be
charged for Internet usage and failed to previously inform
us of your intent to cancel your account, you are still responsible
for the outstanding balance.
Returned checks, rejected bank drafts and declined credit cards
are subject to penalty charges. CyTech Internet Service reserves
the right to cancel any account if payment is not received by
the due date. You may reactivate your account without a setup
fee within 30 days of cancellation.
USAGE POLICY
CyTech Internet Service is dedicated to making your connection
to the Internet easy and enjoyable. In order to make everyone's
Internet experience a pleasant one, however, CyTech Internet
Service must establish a few policies regarding our Unlimited
Dial-Up accounts.
Dial-up connections to The CyTech are automatically disconnected
after 20 successive minutes of inactivity. We reserve the right
to terminate the service, without notice, of anyone attempting
to defeat this measure through any means, mechanical or electronic.
Mechanical and electronic means include, but are in no way limited
to: software or electronic based dialers which falsely maintain
an active connection, using any e-mail program to continually
check mail, and continual pinging of any IP address. In addition,
any of the activities deemed inappropriate by CyTech Internet
Service are also grounds for suspension or termination of service
with or without our notice. These activities include:
More than one simultaneous connection per user. Dial-up accounts
are for one computer only. More than one connection per account
will not be tolerated. Running server over a dial-up connection.
No account provided by CyTech Internet Service may be used as
a connection for an Internet server of any type, whether commercial
or personal. Reselling connection time with out the express
written consent of CyTech Internet Service is prohibited. Over
utilization of connection time, disk space, or bandwidth is
prohibited. There is a difference between a dial-up account
and a dedicated account. A dedicated connection is defined as
a constant connection in excess of four (4) hours. If you require
constant connections of greater than four hours you should upgrade
your account to a dedicated connection. Unsolicited advertising,
mass e-mailing, and spamming are strictly prohibited. Transmitting
obscene, harassing or threatening materials is unacceptable.
CyTech Internet Service reserves the right to change these policies
at any time without notice.
CHARGES
You are completely responsible for all charges associated with
connecting to all CyTech access numbers. Any charges associated
with connecting to CyTech services (for example, telephone,
dial-up or ISDN charges) are your responsibility. It is your
responsibility to determine whether the access number you use
to connect to CyTech services will obligate you to pay telephone
use (long distance charges) to your telephone company. CyTech
highly encourages you to contact your local phone company to
confirm that the call you are making to CyTech is not a toll-charge.
DOMAIN REGISTRATION
If requesting the registration of a domain name, you certify
that to the best of your knowledge the use of this name does
not violate trademark or other statutes. Registering a domain
name does not confer any legal rights to that name and any disputes
between parties over the rights to use a particular name are
to be settled between the contending parties.
Conclusion The subscriber is responsible for all consequences
and actions incurred through use of their Internet connection.
The subscriber agrees to indemnify and defend CyTech Internet
Service for any claims and charges resulting therefrom.
CyTech Internet Service reserves the right to terminate any
account for any reason it deems necessary. CyTech Internet Service
reserves the right to monitor subscriber actions to determine
if any infractions as listed in this agreement have been violated.
These terms and conditions shall be governed and interpreted
in accordance with the laws of the state of North Carolina,
United States of America.
